Random thoughts, rants and reflections

woah! i'm (almost) completely tired physically. stayed back the evening before Turt checkout to work on the program slides - and ended up deciding to sleep over at the office. it was about 130am by the time i finished... and thanks to some inconsiderate people up at GC shouting in the middle of the night (yes... at one plus in the morning man...sheesh) , i had trouble getting into sleep mode... so was super 'zombified' this morning. Dinner wasn't really that important by the time i got home, went straight to bed after showering... and now i'm up cos i need to add the final touches to the slides.

now for turt checkout... today was like the 1st of two full-dress rehearsals that the band has to do before flying off next week, and it was a time when people we know are invited to sit in as auxiliary audience functioning as critiques. As with any feedback, there were both the good and bad. Generally i felt the band could hold their own musically, sounded good and the vocalists were excellent. Just hope they are able to take the critiques in their stride.. cos at this stage in the game, any perceived 'negative' feedback could be amplified beyond what they really stand for.

there's one week to go before the band flies...and when they do, it'll signal the end of the project (at least till the team comes back) for me cos i won't be flying off this time round. i look forward to the break while they are away... though still there's a small part of me wishing to go on the road with them cos they're such fun company. anyway, it'll be great time catching up on things that i haven't been doing cos of the project - like practicing on my E-guit, catching up with friends and ministry supporters, working on my newsletter, finish up whatever support-raising left to do, and also to go for my 'cave-time' or hammock-time at my usual spot in sentosa.

k that's about all the updates i have for now... back to work now.
