Random thoughts, rants and reflections

Today was my department's 'team-building' day. So we spent the whole day out of office, which is a refreshing change from the hum-drum of office life. The morning started off with a session at RiverView Hotel where the respective team managers in my dept gave a talk and an update of what's happening. This was followed by lunch at the hotel's cafe, and we were supposed to go on a bumboat 'cruise' along the Singapore River. Thank goodness.... the heavens heard our prayers and it started pouring the moment we were due to get on the boat. Next came probably the most exciting part of the day..... a LAN gaming session at Bugis. It was a sight, looking at at group of age 30-40++ adults figuring their way through the maps of counter-strike. Hah! And I had a field day sniping all of them during the game. The games lasted way past the official end-time of 5pm, but who cares when you're having fun?? Now... if only every workday is like this.....

Next up on my program list is a fishing trip at Changi tomorrow..... hadn't fished in a long while... and i don't even know if I still have my fishing gear. Time to pack... will be back with more tomorrow. Signing off.
