Random thoughts, rants and reflections

it's almost 1am now... juz back not long ago from a time of chit-chat and supper with wee at west coast mac... i've been relishing the freedom i have since the end of my last paper... glad to be able to use the time to catch up on a few things that i've been wanting to do...

i think it's been a while since i met up with my frens in No Compromise for jam session. think we're gonna have some action upcoming next month. geri has signed us up for Overdrive 2005, a jam competition organised by NTU CAC. juz listened to 2 songs that we'll be performing for auditions next month (dec 8) .... and true to geri's pattern... she's picked a super jazz piece... not that i'm complaining though, the bass parts sound rather straightforward.... but i think Bryne's gonna have some hard time learning and practising his guitar parts. the other song that we'll be doing is one song by CHC. i dunno at the moment whether it's an original song by them or a cover from somewhere.... anyway i thought it sounded great.... we should be able to pull it off. think this time round we're gonna do without douglas.... seems like we might go in as a 3-piece band.

talking now also to my sis who's away in UK for an exchange.... thank God for tech stuff like MSN... makes the world a whole lot smaller... anyway, wanted her to help me look out for O2 stuff... so juz in case if they are cheaper than in SG, i'll be able to ask her to 'import' for me. hehe.... but then seems like the things there are so darn expensive.... gotta give up my plan... haiiz =)

auditions for church's worship ministry will start this sun.... i've gotta start practising the songs! and come to think of it... i've haven't really touched my fender bass for at least 2 months now.... gotta go keep it company soon!

A Kepala rehearsals will resume tmw for me.... feels like i've been away for ages.... hope to firm up the 2 songs that i'll be playing by this week in my head so i wun have to always refer to the charts. gotta put in more effort!

on fyp... i look forward to clearing next monday's presentation once and for all.... then i can start to really celebrate the end of school.

yepz... and so here am i standing at the doorway to some adventure over the next 4 weeks... exciting times ahead... =)
