dawn prayer: day two
Labels: My Life 0 commentsday 2 of dawn prayers.... and today i attended it together with sindric and zp. i think today i didn't remember much of what happened... was really in a half-awake mode... but the most poignant thing that i brought back this morning was the call to confess our personal hidden sins and to come back to God in repentence. with this, it brought back the need to start this new year afresh with God.... of how the struggle with sin is futile unless God is in the equation... guess it's high time to put the 'God-factor' back in....
after prayers met up with Tongchoon to go to Bras Bersah.... helped him purchase some study materials for his camp group ministry. glad to see the guy is growing in his personal spiritual walk and that he has bounced back from the setback in his life to moving on to a new phase... (hehe TC if you're reading this... all the best to ya and YC!)
back at home.. i slept the whole afternoon before waking at 730 for dinner..... woah it sure feels great to catch up on some much-needed rest.
meanwhile.... several frens have asked about when i'm gonna start stint. my answer now unfortunately, is that i seriously don't know, even though i can't wait to begin work at Forerunner. also i juz found out that my ex-pastor at LE has not sent in his referral, so no interviews can be arranged yet. the wait has been really long for me.... but despite my unhappiness at the turn of events so far, i shall choose to hold on to this nugget of wisdom that a sister shared last night - that the waiting process builds character, and that it was the waiting in the caves that made David the man he was. patience, as such, is the virtue that i believe i have to cultivate...
tmw i'll be going for my personal retreat.... had to postpone it til then cos last fri couldn't make it due to tuition... really looking forward to a good time of prayer and reflection.
that's it for today! signing off...
